Howlite and Kazuri Beaded Bracelet

Women's beaded bracelet with 10mm cream howlite beads, copper accents and a Kazuri focal bead. Kazuri beads are made from clay dug by hand from the rich earth of Mount Kenya, then hand-shaped and painted, one carefully-crafted piece at a time. Kazuri, which means "small and beautiful" in Swahili, began in 1975 as a tiny workshop experimenting with making ceramic beads made by hand. It started with two Kenyan woman and it was soon realized that there were many other women, mostly single mothers, in the villages around Nairobi who were in great need of employment. Kazuri now employs over 300 women and is a member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO). The mission of Kazuri is to sustain employment opportunities for disadvantaged members of Kenyan society. This bracelet will make quite the statement when worn alone but stacks well with other R&H bracelets for a more stylish option.

Bracelet measures 7" and is strung on durable clear stretch jewelry cord for a "one size fits most" style. If you need another size, just message us!

As with all my pieces, the workmanship on this bracelet is guaranteed for one year from the date of purchase.
